Another picture of Hannah

This picture was taken in January. Hannah is the little girl in the middle. You can easily recognize that little frown. (click on the picture to see it larger) We can't wait to see her smile! :)

We all think she is very, very cute, but Alex and Tara are a little concerned about the whole hair thing. Actually, in this picture Hannah has some hair, but you can see the little girl on the right has her head almost shaved. It is very likely that Hannah will also have her hair that short by the time we get her. Typically, the babies in an orphanage have very short, almost shaved heads. As you can imagine, it would be very difficult to take care of all those little girls with long hair. Plus it is very hot in this part of China during the summer months. So don't be alarmed about her hair...it will grow!!

I know for sure the little girl on the right is in the process of being adopted and her parents will be going to get her in June (she is not with our agency, but I "met" her through our orphanage group). I'm not sure about the little girl on the left, but I'm thinking she might also belong to someone in our travel group. They are all three very sweet!!

And what is with that Garfield looking stuffed animal? That thing looks like it has been around awhile.

I sent the orphanage 2 disposable cameras and asked them to take pictures of Hannah and then bring me the cameras when we go to get her. This is how one of the families received this picture. They recognized Hannah from our group and then sent me the picture. Thank you!!!!! Anyway, we will not be allowed to visit her orphanage (some allow it, others don't) and I would like to have a few pictures of her in the orphanage to keep.

Hopefully, we will be traveling in exactly 4 weeks!!! Still waiting on official travel dates, but we are thinking it will be around June 19. We are ready mentally and working on getting physically ready. Much packing to be done, paperwork to complete, and fine details to consider, but she is so worth the effort!!!
